I’m always sewing (and occasionally sticking myself…ouch), so making a sewing-themed Valentine card just seemed appropriate. What better than a cactus with stickers! Put your own special touch on this printable Valentine by using it as a stitching card or just print it out and use as is.

What You’ll Need

• The free printable Valentine card template (download button below)
• Card stock paper
• Embroidery floss
• Sewing machine with decorative stitches (optional)
• Scissors

How to Make Your Stitching Card

1. Print the free Valentine card onto card stock
2. Add hand-embroidery stitches to the hearts or cactus thorns. A french knot on each heart flower looks sweet.
3. Or use your sewing machine’s decorative stitches to stitch directly onto the paper. A zig-zag border works really well.
4. Trim the card to your desired size and back it with a second piece of card stock for a clean, finished look.
