FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is longarm quilting?

Longarm quilting is the process by which a longarm sewing machine is used to sew together a quilt top, quilt batting and quilt backing into a finished quilt using decorative stitch patterns.

What is edge-to-edge quilting?

Edge to edge is when a quilting design is stitched from one edge of the quilt to the other over the length and width of the quilt. I use my precision long arm machine and computerized system to set up the design and stitch it out.

What is the turnaround time?

Usually estimated at two to four weeks from the time I receive the quilt top to the time I send it back. Shipping times vary by location. I will communicate if it is shorter/longer than anticipated.

What if I don’t find a design I like in your design library?

I have many more designs than what I’m able to list on my website. Please free free to send me a photo of designs that you like and I’m always able to search for it or add it to my library.

How big should my backing be?

Your quilt backing should be at least 4 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides. For example, if your quilt top is 60 x 70 inches, your quilt back should be at least 68 x 78 inches.

Booking form

Please complete an online booking form prior to shipping your quilt. It is the perfect way to tell me about your quilt, your preferred design, thread and batting options. My shipping address will be provided to you upon submitting the form. I look forward to quilting for you!

Delivery and Payment

I am located in Dallas, Texas. If you’re local to the area and would prefer to drop off your quilt, you can drop it off in person or we can meet at one of our local quilt shops.

Shipping is a convenient option, whether you are local or out of state. I accept quilts from all over the country.

An invoice will be sent via email as soon as the quilt is completed. As soon as the invoice is paid, the quilt will be sent back or you can pick it up in person.

Do you offer batting?

Yes, I offer Hobbs 80/20 batting or you can provide your own batting. Batting should measure 2″ larger than your quilt top on all sides.
